Sparks to make rare informal appearance in Japan

Ron and Russell will be making a rare informal appearance Wednesday January 11th at 7PM at Tokyo's O-West in Shibuya as special guests for friend Yuichi Kishino's birthday celebration concert. Musician Kishino was the opening act ('The Mustached Widow') for Sparks during one their 21 Nights/21 Albums concerts in London. £  Kishino also produced and wrote the Sparks Guide Book which was released in conjunction with their 2006 tour of Japan.
Sparks' appearance will be without any band, just Ron on keyboards and Russell on vocals. Ron says,” the very short set of 4 or 5 songs will be a lot like seeing us casually playing in a living room, assuming your living room is in Tokyo.”£ £  Russell adds, “though this isn't a Sparks concert per se, we are very happy to have been invited by Kishino for this evening and that we are very much looking forward to seeing our Japanese fans.”
