Sparks in France

In 2008, Ron Mael and Russell Mael of the legendary band SPARKS were commissioned by Swedish Radio to write a musical play about Ingmar Bergman. In 2011, The Los Angeles Film Festival invited Sparks to be the only live entry at that year’s festival, having them perform The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman at Ford Amphitheater with live actors and musicians.

Now, the Mael brothers are coming to Cannes to seek partners for a feature film version of The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman, a musical fantasy to be directed by the celebrated director Guy Maddin.
